I am back to blogging

I am back from my very much needed vacation. I urge everyone to take the chance to renew the energy. One won’t realize how breaks are important until he/she gets one.

By the way I have just read this article about Egyptian bloggers. This is Alaa Fattah's blog that is mentioned in the article. I did not know that Iran has between 75,000 to 100,000 blogs until I read the article. Looks like oppression is the generator of blogs.

well opression and pressure on the press are generators of blogs, but I wouldn't say this explains the iran bloggers phenomena

IMO the dynamism of iranian society, the high standards of education and the fact that most of the population is socially and politically aware is the major reason.

funny thing is people talk about the apathy of iran youth (apathy is when 60% of the population joins in elections :-)

note that the 70,000+ blogs are out of a 4 million internet users population and the represent the whole spectrum (an ex vice president has a blog).

Hi Mohamed & Alaa,

Bloggers insist on expressing themselves because we actually we have no freedom oxygen to breathe except here on the blogosphere. Thanks to the great internet where the sky is the limit. We are blessed in a way.

I don't know why I suddendly remembered
الإيفه إللي بيقول هو كلة ضرب ضرب مفيش شتيمة
The internet is making it for us at least this is the way how I feel that's not all ضرب ضرب:)

Blogging is a way to excerise freedom of expression regardless of the reason. And we all have the right for freedom of everything in life; even to write in a blog because that's what you want and you don't have to give any justifications.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Keep up the good work.
