This day a peace champion was killed

Remembering Peace Champion President Anwar Sadar who was assassinated by hard-line Islamists during a military parade on 6 October 1981.

We miss your vision.

Yes, how many people miss Sadat. The man had clearly a foresight, not present in many of the leaders in the region. May God bless him. I am surprised to find few references to this great man in the Egyptian bologosphere.

We (Egyptians) owe this man a lot.

it's weird how he is remembered very little especially on this day.

Though he has made his mistakes, he was a visionary - a trait that is scarce these days in Egypt.

Regrettably ya luli, we entered the no vision era after his death..

It amazes me how we have forgotten the murder of this great leader. To find our way back to real peace and friendship we need to start remembering him and the vision he brought to us. Thanks for posting this piece and his photo.
