Sectarian Clashes Continue in Alexandria for the third day, One Muslim Dies

As the Egyptian official media continue to confirm that the entire incident of Good Friday attacks on churches in Alexandria is because of a mentally ill person, clashes continue between Muslims and Christians there.

Official papers today continued to confirm that the doer is mentally ill person and reported a vague story about another mentally ill person who attacked a mosque in Mansura. The story is meant to cover the sad events of Alexandria.

Today is the second day after Good Friday attacks and clashes are continuing between Christians and Muslims with sticks and stones. Cars are being torched.

The illogical vague explanation and handling of the Egyptian official media and the government to the Alexandria violence is not helping any party. In fact, it leaves lots of unanswered questions and rooms for rumors to flame more violence.

Some other funny official stories blamed Friday violence on Denmark's Muhammed Cartoons. Should we understand that if they were not published Egyptian Copts would have enjoyed equal rights and full-fledged citizenhip? The easiest way to escape taking responsibility and taking responsibility seriously is to lay the blame on others.

The Copts' statements are critical of the Egyptian government handling of the security arrangements last Friday. Statements condemned the lack of responsibility of the police. Their statements overrule the official press statements of many untrue stories about the events. The government resort to security solutions to Coptic persecution problems in Egypt proved its failure after Good Friday attacks.

Today, a Muslim died. Yesterday, Copts buried the first victim of Good Friday attacks, 67, who was stabbed in what Copts called organized terrorist acts.

Paul,

Authorities and official press said that he used the tram to move between churches, the fastest train in Alexandria, almost one mile per half an hour!!!

Freedom ,
Unconfirmed eye-witness reports said that the attacker had others in-waiting in a car infront of the first church that took him round until he got caught in the fourth church .

To all Copts, please listen to Father Morkos Aziz interview that is on Copts-united.com and do what he is saying.
If we do not stand for our right, nobody else will.
It is our country, and our future.
If we keep being negative, then no one to blame but ourselves.
I do not mean violenceor fighting hate by hate, but I mean standing for our rights.
Things are bad enough. We have nothing else to lose, they are kidnapping our daughters, burning our houses, killing us, and even shutting down our churches.
In my opinion, this attach is the least severity, we are attacked in a daily bases, at work, at school, at buses; we hear them insulting us in every single mosque every day.
I do not understand, what are we expecting?
Those people are the same for past 1400 years and they are not willing to change, they will not change the Quran and suna, so we have to force them to keep their missed up theology on hold, like how it is on hold in the America and Europe.
If you see how they are talking about love, peace and tolerance between religions, you will know what I mean.

I know that I may offend those few good Muslims, but I'm sorry guys, you are too weak to do any thing more than talking.

The way this issue is being handled by the Egyptian media is almost laughable! do they think it's still 1967 and they can fool Egyptians into believeing whatever they feed them???

Second point is, how are we expected to believe that one man commuted between the churches, knives and sword or whatever weapon he used in full sight of everyone on public transport???

Hi FFE,

Thanks as always for being on top of the news. I have to add my suppport for the previous comments: The Egyptian offical media and the local officals, ncluding te governor and the interior ministry, have really done a bad job that inflamed more the situation. What is needed is complete transparency and acknowledging there is a problem to be solved.

Hey guys,
Why do not you go to copts-united.com and watch the video and see how the security forces handled the problem,
How they (the security forces) took the crosses from the protesters and stepped on it in front of the helpless Copts!!

Any way that is the desert culture, barbarians live and will live like animals do, which is what they inherited from Mohammad, the rapist murderer
