Egypt: 26 Percent Turnout in Elections

"Egypt's justice minister said yesterday just one quarter of registered voters cast ballots in the monthlong parliamentary elections that ended this week."

And they say regime's National Democractic party and Muslim Brotherhood won! huh..I told you nobody I know went to vote. One quarter is a percentage to save their faces...I bet you it is less... No Representation...

I would await the judges report before committing to 26%. As i recall, the numbers on the referendum on Art 76 on the 25th of May, turnesd out to be far lower, than the official numbers. I don´t remember the numbers for the presidential elections right of my head, but i think there was a discrepancy as well between official figures and later reports.

I really like your blog!

Ibn ad dunya,

I hate about this election results media propaganda that media depict Egypt as NDP and Muslim brotherhood only when the turn out might be 26% of eligible voters. It is shameful.
